Anne's 60th Birthday Celebration @ Hi Lo's, Jan 20th

This is "the place" to eat in Bremerton! Ann Pierson found it on a business trip to Bremerton recently and this was the destination lunch spot for Anne's birthday celebration.

Great food! Great service! Great friends! Great fun!

Alderbrook Spa and Resort

Here we are....Anne McCaughey, "the Birthday Girl", Ann Pierson, Elaine Waller, and myself.....waiting for what turned out to be a terrific dinner at Alderbrook Resort & Spa. We spend the weekend here and had a wonderful time!

Anne's "creation"....dessert of chocolate decadence, intoxicated cherries, and ice cream. It was yummy!

After an outstanding meal and dessert, we eventually returned to our rooms and talked to the wee hours of the morning.......got some sleep; had breakfast the next morning...and made our return trip back to our respective homes. "A good time was had by all!"

COSTA RICA VACATION

MAL PAIS on the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica. Shannon, our daughter, and her boys, Caleb and Taylor went with us to Mal Pais, Costa Rica. This is where we've been for the last 11 days! Loved it! Posted by Picasa

The Ocean....the water was like bath water!

Playa Naranjo ... where the ferry stopped to let us off. From here we traveled across the peninsula to the Pacific side and to the southern most point, Mal Pais. Posted by Picasa

Our Accomodations at Moana Lodge

Shannon and the boys are in a duplex style unit.  Posted by Picasa

Their porch has a hammock they spent quite a fun time in! Posted by Picasa

Shannon in her room she is sharing with the boys. Larger and more storage than we have....but no air conditioning! They have a big bed...large enough for all three of them. But, there is a little bed for when Shannon can't take the "heat"! She claimed it was fine and that they didn't even need the fan some nights. (Yeah!) Posted by Picasa

We rented a Toyota 4Runner. We never saw the paint color after the first day. The roads are dusty and very bumpy. This vehicle served us well! Posted by Picasa
